Centre of ExcellenceColdwater Seafood’s Innovation Centre is located at our West Site was opened on 30th September 2008 by Austin Mitchell, MP for Grimsby. Our restaurant trained development chefs were involved in the design of the centre with the sole purpose of creating an environment where ideas are turned into exciting products that our customers love and our competitors envy.

This purpose-built, state-of-the-art kitchen facility boasts a showcase presentation area equipped with HD cameras and a viewing screen to watch our master chefs create culinary delights. We have individual workstations tailored to each chef’s style of cooking but they have the feel of a domestic kitchen to ensure that all products are created in the same way that you would at home. We used a local leading kitchen designer to bring our ideas to life and the centre has a variety of nautically themed features – from port holes and a fish-shaped table to themes of sand, sea and fish.

The development kitchens are adjacent to a formal dining room & customer presentation area. Our specially designed meeting room boasts state-of-the-art video conferencing and ensures that all of the needs of our customers are met within this industry leading Innovation Centre.

Our Innovation Centre plays host to a number of functions, ranging from entertaining customers, showing off the skills of our chefs with a fantastic selection of dishes, to interactive learning sessions with local schools, customers and our employees
